Your passport to an archaeological journey through timeAn activity of teh Holiday Pass of the town of Biel/Bienne

2019

From August 12 to 16, 2019, ArchaeoConcept organized bilingual activities entitled "Ton passeport pour un voyage archéologique à travers le temps / Eine archäologische Zeitreise" for the Holiday Pass of the city of Biel/Bienne. During a particularly intense and rich week, the children had the opportunity to discover and carry out activities specific to a chronological period, from the Palaeolithic to the Middle Ages. At the beginning of each day, the children have an introduction to the period with real archaeological objects, replicas and pictures of life scenes. With the help of all the clues collected, they prepared a balanced menu based on real archaeological recipes. These little archaeologists decorated cave walls as they did in the Palaeolithic period, made ceramics with the pile-dwellers, made coins with the Helvetians, created their own Roman mosaic and drew their own medieval family coat of arms. They also discovered the work of archaeologists by organising their own archaeological digs, to uncover new traces of the past.
