Archaeology sheds light on the past through the lens of the present. This podcast is based on the belief that the big questions of our time deserve to be explored with the people we rarely consult: children. Drawing on our backgrounds in archaeology and anthropology, we travelled to schools in Biel and the canton of Jura, running workshops on migration — a topic frequently covered in the media and in political debates. We met around 220 pupils, 75 of whom we recorded talking about the subject. The resulting exchanges were frank, curious and touching, covering topics such as archaeological artefacts, moving house, comfort blankets, and the past, present and future.
It's a multi-layered podcast — stratigraphic, even!
The first episodes in French are available on the French page.
The episodes in German will be released in a few weeks.
