Discovering the city's past in everyday life

Based on the unique project "Tête-à-tête: Discovering the city's past in everyday life" which took place in 2016, ArchaeoConcept has developed a module adapted to classes and applicable to different school levels.

Heritage and history are areas that allow a better understanding of society and the environment in which we live. The originality of this project is to involve children in research on the development of their urban environment. They will thus have the opportunity to understand the evolution of local heritage and to share this knowledge with their peers. The proximity to heritage specialists active in research (historians, archaeologists, archivists) is a real asset of this intervention.

This activity is supported by the Department of Education and Culture of the Canton of Bern, which covers part of the cost of the courses with cultural vouchers.
